Snowy the Samoyed

Sunday, 22 January 2017

On June 23rd, we welcomed this little fluff ball into our home and into our family. She came to us at the age of 7 weeks. As white as snow and as fluffy and cotton balls.

We fell in love with her instantly. She has made our family complete and she brings us so much joy! Snowy our Samoyed was born on May 11th 2016 and is currently 9 months old. We can't wait to throw her a big doggie birthday party!

We were first introduced to this breed when we happened to see a man with 3 grown Samoyeds taking a walk through the city streets. Surrounded by people of all ages trying to pet the dogs, my sisters and I were drawn to the beauty of the Samoyeds. They were absolutely beautiful creatures.

After doing research and finding breeders that had available puppies in our area... we finally found a breeder whom we met and was absolutely lovely. She gave us a lot of helpful information and told us to contact her if we were ever having trouble. She has Samoyeds of her own and the love and affection she has for them is so evident.

Snowy loves cuddles and she absolutely loves playing chase. She's full of energy and she LOVES eating! From dog food all the way to watermelon, strawberries, blueberries...
If you ever have food with you, she will love you forever! We spoil her with toys and her favourite is Mr Monkey. Unfortunately... Mr Monkey is in the infirmary, suffering from a broken arm. Snowy loves being carried! It was so much easier when she only weighed 3kg... now she's 4 times heavier. A solid 13kg (last time we checked) is a serious arm work out for whoever dares to carry her!

She loves kisses! Especially on the lips! So boys... beware.
She loves people and would greet you with her wagging tail and continuous "hellos" until you pat her.

Adventures of 2016

WOW! What a year it has been! 2016 has been an incredibly, amazing and fun-filled year with many memories made. It felt like 2016 flew by so quickly but at the same time there was so many exciting things that happened... all flowing one after the other.

As I select my favourite memories and highlights of 2016, it'll be nice to reflect on how I've grown through a lot of the battles and challenges that surfaced during the year. What's life without some challenges. It's good to grow and constantly seek to continue growing. We will never stop growing and learning. That's the beauty of it. We can never ever get to a final point on this Earth.

2016 was definitely an incredible journey... allowing myself to take risks, to do things I've never done before and to push pass my comfortable and to learn to step into uncomfortable situations in order to grow myself. God has constantly surprised me in many ways. Beginning of the year I learnt to surf. That was an incredible experience. Allowing myself to be adventurous and to learn to not always stick to the things I'm comfortable with. 2016 blessed me with opportunities for friendships to be created and for people I didn't know would hold so much importance to be woven into my life. From Hillsong Conference to road trips and camps... friendships were made and grown.
From all the adventure to even learning more about myself and developing my skills, and even embracing a new chapter in my life, through it all God was beside me. Memories of passing my Learners and taking another step closer to getting my full license, transitioning from high school to university, and also turning a year older.

With each step I took as I continued to walk through the days, weeks and months of 2016... unforgettable memories begin to etch into my mind and heart. Moments that would be there when I need them to help me learn and move forward into 2017.

The BEST is yet to come! Look forward onto 2017 with expectations that things will start to line up and fall into place because God is working things out behind the scene. We may not see what's in front of us... but He's working on it. He always is. And He does all this out of the shakeable love He has for us.

Forever Brunchin'

Ever since meeting my group of friends, and influenced by the hype of "hipster" cafes, I've discovered a world of brunch places from cute interiors all the way through to the edgy, modern aesthetics. All of which the food has been AMAZING, and an incredible journey of exploring different tastes.

I'm so blessed to be living in Melbourne, and close to the CBD, where many brunch places are located. I have tried a few... but still have many more places to explore. Stagger Lee's, Top Paddock, Operator 25 are to name a few places. Can't wait to share with you my adventure on discovering my favourite Melbourne brunch places!

Who doesn't love to discover new, exciting, cute, deliciously amazing food places?!

2017 is here! NEW YEAR, NEW ME! Am I right? HA! How many times have we heard that?? PLENTY. I've been wanting to change my style for a while. I've always admired a minimalistic kind of style, that holds a sense of maturity, femininity and a clean and put together look. In the few days of 2017 as I browsed around H&M, I laid eyes on the most beautiful vest coat. I FINALLY FOUND THE ONE!

I know I can create many many outfits with this new purchase of mine! Dressing it up, and dressing it down won't be too much of a problem either! I find it's so important to invest in items that you know you can style in many ways - casual or fancy, Summer and Winter. Although it is very lightweight, layering it in the chilly seasons will allow you to wear this whenever you want!

But despite all the time you take into styling your outfit... the BEST accessory that goes with any outfit you wear is your SMILE! The way you present yourself - your stance, your walk, your behaviour also plays a part! Don't forget to always wear your smile. Although clothing can be copied, and remade over and over again in many different ways... there's something so much more unique that no one else can pull off except you. And that is your smile!

WEAR it with CONFIDENCE! AND never forget Your Smile!

Welcome to my World

Sunday, 13 March 2016
photo welcome to my world_zpsbqpncwap.jpg I'm so excited to be starting this blog, and to begin sharing with you all about my life, experiences and lots of fun stuff, from beauty to fashion, to crazy random things in life. I figured I'd start off this blog with my first ever post and talk about... ME! For my first post, I definitely don't want to get too deep too soon, so I'm going to keep it light.

So currently, I've started my first year of University at RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) and I'm studying Fashion! If you guys can't tell, I'm extremely excited and overjoyed at the fact I get to pursue my dream career in fashion. I'll definitely do another post dedicated to my Uni Life, and my career choice in more depth in the near future!
So other than Uni Life, I also attend church and volunteer where I can. I'm part of different ministries in my church; Youth, Worship and Children.
Life at the moment is simply amazing! I'm surrounded by people I love, and the things I enjoy doing most.

Now moving down the years... I was born in 1997, on the 18th of October... I actually quite like my birth date... 18th of October... has a nice ring to it, don't you think? Haha! Comment down below your birth date! Okay, so back to the story... I was born in Singapore, and grew up there. I still remember glimpses of when I was young, but my childhood in Australia overpowers those memories! So in 2003 - when I was six-years-old - I migrated to Australia and that's where I've been for most of my childhood and that's where I'm currently situated in the present date. I honestly love living in Melbourne. It's so beautiful, and the people are amazing! Countless memories were made here, and it brings a smile to my face remembering all of them.

So growing up, and going through the journey of having rebellious phases, my desire to fit in, and the struggles of high school, life definitely got overwhelming. There were many falls along the way... more than I can count, but there were also a lot of moments where I soared. Year 12 for me, by far was one of the best years! The friendships developed, bonds created, and memories made was what made it incredible! All that mixed in with that year being the MOST IMPORTANT year of high school made that year a continuous high. There was never a dull moment! Actually... maybe sometimes in English class... haha! But other than that, there was always so much going on!

I'm happy to say that I got through Year 12, and got into the University I've always been aiming for!
Definitely going to keep pursuing my passions, and my heart's desires! Let's start to build and encourage one another to keep going, to keep pursuing even though life's struggles may seem so much bigger and so much greater... But just know there's a light at the end of every tunnel, and there are friends and family around us for support, and for us to lean on when times get tough!

Now, ending things on a light note... I'll briefly explain what my blog is about. So this blog will be about me - my life experiences, my journey - but it's also a place where I get to share my love for beauty, fashion, travel and a lot of other things. I'm honestly so excited to be starting this blog, and I hope you will all journey with me through this.

Well... my first post has come to an end! I hope you all have enjoyed reading! Read more about me and leave any comments or questions down below or feel free to contact me!
